BEST Degrees To Pursue For Success: Why This Thinking Is Why You’re Failing

20140206-104714.jpg

We are working on our new FAQ page but one question keeps popping up. “What degrees should I get/ make more money?”

The truth is degrees DONT make money; you do. If you’re infatuated with art but pursue an accounting degree than maybe you’ll see some decent salaries but you’ll never be truly successful. Why? No no the question is How? Because we’ve seen time and time again how that career soon consumes your time and therefore your desires and talents are thrown by the waist side. And guess what? Many of these same people complain that they don’t enjoy their work and that they’re always scrambling to make more and the cycle continues.

Some like routine and their own personal sense of security. In reality there is no security, only the illusion of it. If your job is suddenly outsourced or able to be done for cheaper and more efficiently then what happens to you? What’s happening all around America. There was the roaring twenties, the Great Depression, the fast cash 90s, the dot com era, and most recently the housing/ markets crash. Even without elaborating there’s the common theme of the complacent majority getting left out and burned when times changed.

We respect everyone’s decisions but here at Mavens Table we exist to push further, reach higher. Want to truly make a difference? Just do it. Want to start a business? Just do it! How proud are you when you’ve lost a ton of weight and look your absolute best? Or when you build an awesome anything? Take ownership and pride in your self and build a better future.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson

We see it as IF we fail the worse that can happen is we end up just like everyone else. Different strokes for different folks
